Meet Rick Trapilo, a dedicated and experienced candidate running for Selectman in the town of Fairhaven. With a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility, Rick is determined to ensure that your tax dollars are managed effectively to bolster the financial strength of our community. He stands firm against unnecessary tax burdens, opposing projects such as a costly new Broadband department and any changes to the Prop 2 1/2 tax rate. Rick is passionate about developing infrastructure that truly serves the people of Fairhaven, prioritizing clean water, efficient waste treatment, and safer roads to eliminate issues like brown water.

 

Rick’s extensive experience in both the public and private sectors equips him with a unique perspective and skill set. With an MBA and a BA in International Business Studies, he has served on the Fairhaven Planning Board, the Southeastern Regional Planning & Economic Development District Commission, and the Finance and Environmental Boards. As a member of the Fairhaven-New Bedford Harbor Plan Committee, he has been at the forefront of efforts to protect our waters from pollution. With a solid track record as the International President of a tech industry and as a Massachusetts Real Estate Broker, Rick possesses the leadership qualities Fairhaven needs.

 

Beyond his professional commitments, Rick is an active member of Saint Joseph Parish and values community engagement. He believes in a transparent and accessible government, encouraging residents to connect via his Facebook page for updates and dialogue.
